how far from that metro stop would it be to get to the cruise port?

The Greek islands are off limits to the Greek people due to the prices that you mentioned!There is no way I will pay the ridiculous prices for the seabeds or any service. I prefer the Peloponnyse ...its much cheaper ,great beaches and amazing food...!!

When I lived on Naxos some evenings I would take a cold beer and a snack to the beach and enjoy the peace. I am at Athens at the moment and how I miss that Naxos breeze /wind 😊

We were there the end of March 2023, only the slow (blue) ferry was running..only around 30 people got off .it was great, there were no beach chairs, restaurants in the morning had heaters in them...however when it was sunny I went for a swim ( freezing..but it'had to be done) wind picks up some days..I enjoyed Paros the island next door alot better, it was fantastic...

I was also at naxos for the 5th till the 10th of july! I've been to naxos several times in the past around the same time of the year (early july) and i must say that we were impressed with the insane amount of people that were there this year! Also I managed to get those exact 15€ sunbeds that you mentioned at Agios prokopios at around 11am. By 12pm that place was already full but I did hear that you could make a reservation too!

Was it weird that ferry hopper didn't allow you to view your ticket until 48 hours before? Did this work out? I'm nervous because I just bought my ticket and its telling me that.

My favorite island

This seems like the most balanced time of the year for tourists. There are many people so the island feels more than alive, but it's not overcrowded! It looks just great... On an unrelated note; when you're back to Athens, if you ever wanna discover a new place, the president opens the presidential palace (behind the parliament) almost every Sunday to the public. The garden looks amazing. She posts details on her Instagram page and from what I understood they host cultural events as well!

another interesting vlog on beloved Greek islands and Greece in general. I was on Naxos for a short time, between my combined trip from Santorini to Mykonos. Great memories. Have a great time on the Greek islands.

I can recommend the supermarket you mentioned at 15.18 opposite the cinema. If you are self catering like I do then it is part of a larger Greek chain and is similar to what you would find in supermarkets in France, Germany etc. It has a fresh meat and cheese counter, a good range of veg and fruits and a good wine section. Downstairs ( accessed by a smart travellator and not steps or escalators you find normal grocery items, so if you want a box of cereals to last your stay you will find them there. Also a very good health and beauty section so if you have forgotten your toothpaste or deodorant you will find it here. You can buy 6 packs of coca cola for example which will work out cheaper than individual cans from one of the small markets. Ideal if you are in the St George area. For those who want to avoid shopping on holiday all I can say is the money saved will go towards that extra drink in the evening.

I’m so glad you mentioned the smell on Greece, I don’t hear this often enough. You could be walking and get these different aromas of fresh herbs, flowers pine, it’s truly wonderful, and I’m not talking about in Athens.

Back in the 90’s and early 2000’s we would show up on an island without any booking and just go pick someone with a sign at the Harbour. Hell once I even went to Pireas port and picked the next next boat going to an island, wanted to go to Folegandros but had to wait too long and instead hoped on the one to IOS.

We are heading to Sifnos mid September. We are scared that it will be dead. Many restaurants will be closed. What are your thoughts? Is it lively? Other option in Milos same time. Thanks

I am trying to steer clear from taxis as I keep hearing that there have been increasing situations where the taxi driver ends up charing more to the cuatomer than the price agreed upon

Is there anyway you can help me with transport advice from the airport to our first destination, then to the ferry then from Mykonos to our second destination and to the airport to leave I do appreciate your videos videos and they make my trip look easier

I'm starting to think of ending my upcoming fall-season Italy trip with a jaunt over to Greece, with the idea of hitting some of the islands in the south. What is the weather like in the islands during the late October/early November timeframe? TYVM in advance! BTW, I also watched your LHR Layover video and definitely agree you need a minimum 3 hours layover if you're transferring. In a comment over there, I stated my conviction that LHR **had** to have been designed by M. C. Escher.

Wow Naxos has changed a lot since my last visit in 1999. Hopefully I will get the chance to visit it again soon. You seem like you are at home and have this glow when you are in Naxos. Great last minute decision. I look forward to seeing more.

Lived on Naxos for 4 years , left in 2020 the island has changed so much, but I still return every October for a month or two ..

Absolutely loved the video. We go to Naxos every year. We eat regularly in the Oasis and every morning walk into the harbour and have coffee and cake in Kitron. Manolos restaurant on St George's beach is worth going to for lunch and in the evening also - great food and beautiful views. We are looking forward to our trip there in late August. Island hopping was my first experience of Greece - in summer 1988 ! I have returned (mostly to Crete) many, many times since. I hope to be on a Greek island again in 2025. Another great video, Tiffany. Keep it up.

Naxos on my bucket list.

OMG, I am so excited. Greece will the the last destination on my eight week European holiday from Australia (starting five weeks from today).We arrive in Athens on September 19 for seven nights. Then to Naxos for seven nights. Then Paros (Naousa) for six nights. Then back to Athens for another three nights. I am hoping it will be relaxing, informative and exciting all rolled up in one package.Thank you so much for all your content over the last year or so as it has been valuable information that probably would have saved us much disappointment and stress.
